SeaWorld San Antonio at Christmas: Where the season meets the sea!
Send to KindleDisclosure: As part of SeaWorld San Antonio’s Wildside Blog Ambassador program, I received an annual pass and my family received funcards for admission to SeaWorld for one year. I also received an overnight stay in the Camp dorm, food, beverages, and promotional items in December to experience SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration. However, I was not asked to write about SeaWorld and all opinions in this review are mine.
The magic of the holiday season fills the air. Christmas is less than two weeks away! With so many holiday happenings and gatherings going on in San Antonio, how does your family choose where to spend your time?
You won’t want to miss Christmas at SeaWorld San Antonio, where the holiday spirit permeates the shows, the exhibits, the shops, and the rides.
I recently visited SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration with my fellow Wildsiders (SeaWorld’s blog ambassador participants) and I can tell you, firsthand, that there is no holiday celebration like it anywhere else in Texas!
My favorite highlights of SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration:
Clyde and Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas
This show thrills everyone, but locals will find it to be even more entertaining, with hilarious references to San Antonio icons including North Star Mall and 1604 gridlock. The inside jokes make this show extra special for San Antonians and all that we love about our city.
SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration features six holiday-themed shows. Check the park schedule when you arrive. You won’t want to miss even one!
The Candy Cane Forest
Be sure to stay until after dark to enjoy the twinkling lights all over the park but kids (and adults) will be especially enchanted upon entering the Candy Cane Forest. The trees sparkle so brightly with true-to-life candy cane goodness that you’d better watch out or your kids might try to sneak a lick!
The entire park is decorated for Christmas and there are lots of other amazing photo opportunities you won’t want to miss.
Reflections
Christmas caroling? At SeaWorld? You bet! Be prepared to be immersed in Christmas spirit and songs. And, not only do Shamu, Santa, and the elves lead rousing renditions of your holiday favorites, but their songs culminate in a blustery snowfall — in the middle of San Antonio!
SeaWorld’s Christmas festivities run through December 31, when they end with a bang! Take the kids to enjoy a day at the park on December 31 and round out 2012 with SeaWorld’s Twilight Fireworks Party over the lake at 9:00 p.m.
There’s so much to see and do at SeaWorld San Antonio this holiday season, you’ll want to go back again and again. Buy a 2013 SeaWorld Fun Card and get the rest of 2012 for free!

My little ones are finally at the age where a season pass would actually be useful. Can’t wait to get out there soon.
Michelle, my kids and I are at SeaWorld all the time. The passes do make so much sense once your kids reach that age. We’re so lucky to have SeaWorld here in San Antonio. So many chances to learn and have fun all in one place.
I didnt get to see the snow and its a must on my list now! Seaworld is one of my favorite places ever! Thankyou so much for including my link on your list of seaworld posts
