Saturday, July 1: Phil Hardberger Park West (Urban Ecology Center Gathering Hall), 8400 N.W. Military Highway, 78231, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Wild for Wildlife! Tom Kinsey, Master Naturalist and retired education specialist at the Witte Museum, brings his live critters- a friendly snake, cute rats, a green tree frog and the infamous Madagascar hissing cockroaches! Enjoy this educational and entertaining program. A kid-friendly activity is included. No registration is required. Free to attend but a donation of $3 per person or $5 per family is appreciated.

Saturday, July 1: Home Depot locations around San Antonio, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
FREE, once-a-month workshops for kids, ages 5 – 12 at participating Home Depot stores. This week, your child will build a Bug House. Kids’ workshops are on a first come/first served basis. Register your child online ahead of time to make sure there is room available.

First Saturday at The Alamo! On the first Saturday of every month, the grounds of the Alamo are transformed back in time to the 1830s. Join us for a full day of living history fun that the whole family will enjoy. Learn about life in frontier Texas with special demonstrations and crafts.

Hemisfair’s Second Saturday Art in the Park series presents free art workshops for kids ages 4-12. Each workshop features one artist who exhibited at Artpace. This month, children will work with Artpace Educators to learn about Natasha Bowdoin’s exhibition and create their very own literary drawing using watercolor textures, a thicket of words, and stencils cut into fun shapes.
