FREE coffee in June at participating Chick Fil-A restaurants (Alamo Ranch Marketplace and Potranco Road)
Between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., ask for one small, hot coffee. Drive thru or dining room.

Tuesday, June 2, LEGO Store at North Star Mall, 5:00 p.m. until supplies last
FREE LEGO® Store Monthly Mini Model Build! This month: LEGO® Parrot. On the first Tuesday of each month, LEGO Stores provide a limited quantity of free mini model sets for kids ages 6-14. One free per child while supplies last. Get there early (around 3:00 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.) for your spot in line!

Friday, June 5, participating Dunkin’ Donuts shops, all day long
Celebrate National Donut Day at Dunkin’ Donuts to receive a free donut with the purchase of any beverage (while supplies last).

Friday, June 5, participating Krispy Kreme stores, all day long
Stop by to get a free doughnut of your choice for of National Doughnut Day! Subject to availability. Limit one doughnut per guest. No purchase necessary.

Friday, June 5, participating Shipley Do-Nuts, 5:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Shipley’s will give out one free, glazed do-nut to everyone who visits between 5am and noon on National Doughnut Day.

Saturday, June 6, Phil Hardberger Park West (on the field behind the playground), 8400 N.W. Military Highway, 78231, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Pooch Parade and National Trails Day Celebration. Bring your dog on a leash and take a walk with the San Antonio Big Dawgs Association. The Pooch Parade begins at 10:15 a.m. Prizes are awarded for the most unique costume, the best costume and the cutest dog.

Saturday, June 6, Home Depot locations around San Antonio, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
FREE, once-a-month workshops for kids, ages 5 – 12 at participating Home Depot stores. This week, your child will learn to build a load-and-go truck. Kids’ workshops are on a first come/first served basis. Register your child online ahead of time to make sure there is room available.

Saturday, June 6, The DoSeum, 2800 Broadway, 78209, 9:15 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Join The DoSeum for free, Grand Opening activities in front of the museum in their parking lot all day long (These free activities take place only in The DoSeum parking lot. To enter the DoSeum you’ll need to purchase timed tickets here, only $5 each on June 6, thanks to HEB). Following a ribbon-cutting at 9:15 a.m., celebrants can enjoy music from a kids rock ensemble band Flora & Gasoline Alley, T-Bow Percussion and Lucky Diaz & The Family Jam Band, dance from the Guadalupe Dance Academy, theater performances from Magik Theatre and magic tricks from Tim St. John, food trucks and a variety of educational activities. Fifteen percent of proceeds from food truck sales will benefit The DoSeum.

PLEASE NOTE: with thousands of families expected to explore The DoSeum for the first time, off-site parking and shuttle service will be available for grand opening day festivities on June 6. Guests are asked to park at the AT&T surface parking lots, located at 4119 Broadway at the corner of Hildebrand and Broadway. Free shuttles will run throughout the day starting at 9. a.m. through 7 p.m. Guests should anticipate road closures around The DoSeum and along Broadway for opening day. Regular on-site parking will resume on Sunday, June 7.

Free craft for kids. This week kids create Beaded Bubble Wands.

Sunday, June 7, San Antonio Museum of Art, 200 W. Jones, 78215
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. *and* 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Free admission to the San Antonio Museum of Art for everyone (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
AND
First Sundays for Families: (12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.) free for kids 12 and under and kids 13+ and adults are $10 each. This month is: Keepin’ It Real. “Explore the American Realism of Jamie Wyeth’s landscape paintings, portraits, and works on paper. Paint en plein air, participate in a family-friendly drawing workshop, and paint a portrait of your favorite pet.”

Thursday, June 11, McNay Art Museum, 6000 North New Braunfels Avenue, 78209, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The McNay’s Second Thursday of the month provides free museum admission and docent-led tours. Food truck are on site and you can enjoy live music and more.

Saturday, June 13, Lady Bird Johnson Park, 10700 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78217, 7:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Register now for the FREE super Sports Fanatic 5k. This is the official kick off event for Fit Pass 2.0. Festivities include:
– Free Fitness in the Park classes

– sports fanatic themed costume contest.

*Almost-free: 4th annual New Braunfels Kidfest. This annual trade show style celebration of kids brings products, resources, youth-centered organizations, live music, and more to South Texas kids and their families. Admission is $3 per person and parking is $3 per vehicle. Kids ages two and under are free.

Saturday, June 13, Cibolo Nature Center, Herff Farm, 33 Herff Rd, Boerne, TX, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
FARM: Kids’ Club Fishing. Want to learn how to fish? Come to Cibolo Creek and bring your own gear (or they’ll provide it for you!). Free but suggested donation of $5 per family.

Father’s Day Car Show. Come out to see the cars. Stay for the free arts and crafts for kids, free balloon artists and face painting, and the free inflatable jump area for kids.

Dole presents Get Up and Grow: free family events at local H-E-B​ stores. These free, family-friendly events feature a sampling tent with recipe samples, a make-your-own smoothie bar, fun giveaways for the kids, expert nutritional advice by a Registered Dietician or produce expert, and lots of other fun surprises!

Thursday, June 18, Cibolo Nature Center, 33 Herff Rd, Boerne, TX, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
*Free for kids 12 and under. Adults are $10 each: A Thirst for Nature. Tour Hill Country wildflowers this evening. Judit Green, a wildlife biologist and plant expert, leads this tour of the flowers that cover the 60-acre Herff farm. Adult beverages and drinks for kids will be provided.

Saturday, June 20, Phil Hardberger Park East, 13202 Blanco Rd, 78216, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Take a Tree Walk through Hardberger Park with Mark Peterson, SAWS Plant Conservationist and ISA Certified Arborist. This event is great for the whole family. Free to attend but donations are appreciated.

Free craft for kids. This week kids create a Great Catch! Fishing Pole.

Sunday, June 21, Alamo Beer, 202 Lamar Street, 78202, 12:00 p.m – 6:00 p.m.
Fatherfest: supporting pints for prostates. Free admission. Sausage, beer, and music to celebrate dads! Activities include a Kiolbassa sausage cook-off featuring local chefs. Celebrity judges will crown the competition winners. A “People’s Choice” award will also be given. Additionally, there will be family games and “dad stuff” including trucks, a mobile barber, cigar rollers and more! Performances by The Rick Cavender Band and Two Tons of Steel to finish the show. Prostate cancer survivors are encouraged to sign up for a special gift.

Free Family Night Hike. This free guided hike is geared to children ages 6 – 12 and their families. Bring a flashlight!

Nature Walk: Photographing Nature. Photographer and member of the Native Plant Society of America Donald Ewers leads this free photo walk through Hardberger Park. Donations appreciated but not required.

Saturday, June 27, Cibolo Nature Center, 33 Herff Rd, Boerne, TX, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Free for kids of all ages: Investigate the importance of water to gardens. Plus: beat the heat and get wet!
