It’s crazy, but summer will be here before we know it! No time like the present to begin planning fun (and FREE!) excursions to keep our kids busy during those hot summer months. Here’s our huge list of free (and almost-free) summer movies in San Antonio for 2017.

The tickets to Santikos Free Summer Movies are only available at the box office on the day of the show. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

7:30 p.m. pre-entertainment

Free parking available in city-operated garages, lots, and at parking meters on Tuesdays too.

The San Antonio Museum of Art’s Family Flicks series is free and open to the public on select Fridays this summer (ages 6 and up, unless otherwise noted). Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and food/beverages. In the case of bad weather, films are cancelled.

Free, outdoor movies run at the old Mission Drive-in Theater this summer on select evenings. Now known as the Mission Marquee, this outdoor theater invites patrons to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the show!

Free outdoor summer movies in Universal City includes free admission, parking and activities! Bring your chairs and blankets and snacks. No glass or pets. Activities start at 7:00 p.m. | Movie begins at 8:30 p.m.

Regal Cinemas:

For just $1 per person, you can go to the movies all summer long on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. with Regal’s Summer Movie Express. Both movies show on both days. Regal Cinema locations in San Antonio can be found here.
