This Kid Friendly Guide to the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is written and sponsored by the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. Thank you for supporting the organizations and brands that support San Antonio Mom Blogs!

Check out our Best Kid Friendly Guide to the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo to saddle up for a full 18 days of action-packed family fun. From February 8th– 25th you can bring your kiddos out to the grounds to experience all kinds of educational, fun and interactive activities. Plus, the rodeo action and entertainment is perfect for the entire family. Be sure to check out family friendly and GRAMMY-nominated country music artist, Cam, on Sunday, February 18 at 1:00 pm.

Before you see the Rodeo and concert, here are some activities your kids will be begging you to do:

Want to see what it’s like to be surrounded by hundreds of butterflies? Head on over to the Texas Wildlife Expo for the Butterfly Encounter that is full of Monarch and Painted Lady Butterflies.

There’s nothing like getting up close and personal with the official mammal of the state of Texas. Also in the Texas Wildlife Expo is Texas Longhorns 101.

Your kids will be oohing and awing over Animal Adventures! Different from your usual petting zoo in many ways, there are hatching baby chicks, piglets and even more livestock animals.

Who doesn’t want to taste a handspun milkshake? Head on over to the Dairy Center to grab one of the best vanilla or chocolate milkshakes all while learning about the aspects of milk production, dairy products and their roles in the agriculture industry. Cow milking presentations are also made daily!

With animals in mind, your kiddos will be begging you to “show me the horses!” Take your kids to Horse Discovery to learn about the different breeds and many ways that horses are used.

Innovation station is always a hit among little one’s as they can immerse themselves in hands on activities pertaining to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Whether it’s digging for fossils, building their own race car or experimenting with glow in the dark objects, your kids will be having so much fun that they don’t even realize they are learning all while doing it!

Want to learn how to be a real cowboy? Scoot on over to Cowboy Boot Camp to making your very own rope or even pan for gold! It will be a struggle getting your little cowboys and cowgirls out of the Boot Camp to experience the rest that the rodeo has to offer.

High energy attractions will also alternate throughout the event such as the Pompeyo Family Dog Show, X-POGO Stunt Team and the professional gymnastics troupe Chicago Boyz.

With so much to see and do at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo there’s no way you can experience everything in one day. With our Season Grounds Pass, you can visit the grounds all 18 days for only $20! For even more events and activities, visit sarodeo.com or plan your schedule on the SA Rodeo app.
