SeaWorld’s Fright Feast: enjoy dinner and a show…if you dare!

SeaWorld's Fright Feast and Cirque du Soulless in San Antonio

Last weekend, as a guest of SeaWorld and as part of their Wildside Blog Ambassador Program, I attended Howl-O-Scream, the park’s month-long fear festival which starts at 7:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through October 31 (and is recommended for those age 13 and up). My tips for keeping your cool at SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream still apply to this hilariously scary event but, this year, SeaWorld has devised something new…

Every year SeaWorld San Antonio ups the ante in Howl-O-Scream entertainment and frightening new adventures. This year, in addition to the debut of another haunted maze (ICU – a seriously demented medical maze that’ll have you and your friends screaming and laughing as you find your way out) they’ve created Fright Feast, a delicious dinner. This feast is paired with Cirque du Soulless, a Vegas-style show in the round. For $49 per person, you’ll dine on an iceberg wedge salad with candied pumpkin seeds, heirloom tomatoes and spiced pumpkin ranch dressing; tenderloin served with a savory crab ragout; mashed sweet potatoes and steamed baby carrots; and New York style cheesecake with sweet mascarpone and cognac macerated mixed berries. Dinner is served with iced tea and water and a cash bar is available.

The show is nothing short of dazzling. I’ve been to Vegas to see mesmerizing shows with talented performers. And the acrobats, actors, contortionists, and comedians at Cirque du Soulless are every bit as good. But don’t just take my word for it. Check out my one-minute video preview of what Fright Feast has in store for you, then make your reservations before the clock strikes midnight on Halloween!
