Yesterday we made a snack for the birds…today let’s help them build a nest!
What you need
- Mesh onion bag
- Various natural nest materials from outside or around your house (dog fur, hair, twigs, yarn etc)
What to do
Talk about how birds make nests for their babies. Hunt with your child for materials that could be used for a nest. Stuff the mesh bag with those materials and tie the top (make some of the holes bigger in the mesh so birds can easily get to the materials) Then hang the Nest supply by your bird’s snack. Watch to see if birds come and collect items for their nest!
